I talked to an old friend from university the other night on the videophone. “You haven’t really been blogging much,” he said. “In fact, you haven’t done anything creative of late. It seems like all that energy has just gone into climbing.”
It was an insightful comment and made me think a lot.
Anyways, here’s some photos from the first day out ice climbing this season.




As you can see from the last photo — it’s not quite winter yet! And the Rockies aren’t the Alps. Still, if you travel far enough from comfort and into the dark, shady spots: there’s ice to be found~ maybe some creativity too.
Still missing that orange jacket… but hey, yellow ain’t bad.
Time to sharpen those tools.

Yes, I saw it in theaters! A well made film and an interesting figure. Marc Andre was on another level. A big loss for the climbing community.
What an adventure. Looks like a lot of fun.
